What are Clay Days?
The NWPCG has quarterly (approximately) Clay Days where members can get together and play with clay, swap techniques, share demos and enjoy the company of other polymer clay artists. Sometimes we get to test new products. We usually spend a whole Saturday or Sunday, bringing lunch and snacks.
Clay Days are offered as an additional benefit to our members. Non-members are welcome to attend as well, but non-members who wish to participate in Clay Day are asked to pay a $15.00 per Clay Day participation fee. Non-members who wish to observe only are not required to pay a fee.
Previous Clay Days:
- Spring of 2002: we had Clay Camp 2002, but no clay day as we had to change our meeting location and didn't have a space available.
- October 19-21, 2001: Clay Weekend at the Lodge
- August 5, 2001: no photos available
- May 18-20, 2001: We had Clay Camp 2001, instead of a Clay Day.
- February 9-11, 2001: we had a "clay weekend" at Baby Island Lodge. We ate well, clayed well, talked much, and sat around in the hot tub.
- November 5, 2000: we had a clay day, and some of us worked on Bottles of Hope (photos may be forthcoming)
- In August 2000, we had Ravensdale 2000, so we didn't have a Clay Day.
- May 19-21, 2000: We had Clay Camp 2000, instead of a Clay Day.
- February 6, 2000: Some participants covered rocks with clay, while others worked on all kinds of miscellaneous projects.
- We did not have a Clay Day in the Fall of 1999, because we had Clay Camp '99 instead.
- June 6, 1999: We had a great time at this clay day, all working on individual projects and chatting. See our July newsletter (or follow the linked date above) for some descriptions of the day! Unfortunately we don't have photos from this clay day.
- February 13, 1999: Polyform donated some Base Liquid Sculpey for us to experiment with and several people worked with this product that day. We have some photographs from this Clay Day.
