Create an original elf or fantasy character. Learn how to sculpt your doll’s head, hands and feet. Expressions are Kathy’s signature, and she’s happy to share her simplified methods, helpful to both beginner and advanced doll maker alike. Kathy has developed an easy to learn armature method that allows your doll to stand. Paint and simple costuming make the figures come alive.

Supply List: basic kit, 1/2 lb flesh clay (Premo or Super Sculpey), 2-3 oz of Cernit, Kato or Prosculpt, Optional: 10-12 mm teddy bear or doll eyes

Dragons, Toads & Friends

Make a dragon, a frog or toad, or other whimsical figure. Kathy will help you to design and create your own creature, emphasizing expressions. She will share her many techniques of armature and finishing, including such topics as fur, tails, wings, teeth and claws. She will also share information on making realistic rock and water.

Supply List: basic kit, 1/2 lb flesh clay (Premo or Super Sculpey), 2-3 oz of Cernit, Kato or Prosculpt, Colored clay for mixing (greens, browns, etc), Optional: 10-12 mm teddy bear or doll eyes

Epoxy Resin Possibilities

Epoxy Resins are a wonderful addition to any artist's studio. Kathy Davis will demonstrate many uses for these marvelous materials. They can be used as an armature- that's quite strong. They can be actually mixed with polymer for many possibilities, and can be used as glue for our polymer pieces.
