Three of the techniques developed by Nan Roche to create Asian lacquer work in polymer
clay are the central focus of this class. Discover faux enameling using embossing powders,
Mokume Gane with rubber stamps, and captured foil using metal foils. Extruded clay braiding
and loop in loop chain with polymer clay and finishing techniques will also be demonstrated
Supply List: Basic kit, clay gun. Premo clay in white, black, gold, cadmium red, raw sienna, transparent,
COX brand caulking gun, Cornstarch & fluffy brush, deeply etched rubber stamps or other texture plates, TLS, gold foil, selection of embossing powders
Materials Fee: $12.00. Instructor to provide the following: rubber cord &
findings, clay gun adaptation kit, sanding kit, handouts, spatula, use of instructor's
pigments & embossing powders
